Soccer Recap: Lake Forest Comes Up Short

After flying high against Highland Park last Monday, Lake Forest came back down to earth. The Lake Forest Scouts fell just short of the Crystal Lake Central Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Scouts couldn't quite close it out.

Lake Forest's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Crystal Lake Central, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Lake Forest will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Carmel at 6:45 p.m. on April 2nd. Crystal Lake Central also won't see the pitch for a while: their next game is against Wauconda at 6:15 p.m. on April 1st.
