The Clinton Prairie Gophers will square off against the Clinton Central Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Clinton Prairie is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Clinton Prairie is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Rossville 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Gophers have posted against the Hornets since April 23, 2021.

Wyatt Harshbarger was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since May 7th. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Corbin, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Clinton Central was able to grind out a solid win over Carroll on Friday, taking the game 8-5. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Clinton Prairie has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Clinton Central, their win bumped their record up to 11-12.
