Volleyball Recap: Oakland-Craig's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Oakland-Craig had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They came out on top against the Clarkson/Leigh Patriots by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Oakland-Craig had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-19, 25-23, 27-25.

Oakland-Craig was led to victory by Madeline Pearson and Briar Ray. Pearson had 15 digs and three assists, while Ray had 28 kills, 16 digs, and two aces. Ray has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 53 times she's played.

Oakland-Craig's record is now 25-6. As for Clarkson/Leigh, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 20-8 record.

Oakland-Craig does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clarkson/Leigh, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Stanton on the 18th.
