Sauk Prairie waltzed into their contest on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Darlington Redbirds by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Sauk Prairie was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-10.

Mallory Hartwig paced Sauk Prairie's offense, picking up eight kills. Hartwig got some help from Leah Allen and her seven assists. Hartwig also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Alaina Kraemer, racking up two apiece.

Sauk Prairie's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Darlington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Sauk Prairie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lodi on the 13th. As for Darlington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Mineral Point on the 18th.
