Volleyball Recap: Founders Classical Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Founders Classical Academy had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Varsity Opponent on Thursday. The Eagles blew past Varsity Opponent 3-0. The Eagles not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 15, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Founders Classical Academy took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15, 25-14.

Rylee Branch paced Founders Classical Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Branch got some help from Sophia Ma and her 15 assists. Ma also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Parker Swanson, racking up seven apiece.

The win (which was Founders Classical Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Varsity Opponent wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Sandhills Classical Christian on the 21st. Hopefully Founders Classical Academy paid attention to Varsity Opponent's game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
