Basketball Recap: Hawthorne Valley Snags Tenth Victory in Last 11 Games

Hawthorne Valley won the last time they faced Hudson Ridge and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Hawthorne Valley Wildcats enjoyed a cozy 66-49 win over the Hudson Ridge Thunder Chicken. The Wildcats pushed the score to 56-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Thunder Chicken cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hawthorne Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Justin Gamiello, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Towe, who scored 16 points.

Hawthorne Valley is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points per game. As for Hudson Ridge, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
