Basketball Game Preview: Dunlap Eagles vs. Washington Panthers

Dunlap is 1-9 against Washington since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Dunlap Eagles will host the Washington Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Dunlap's tournament run continued when they took on Wheaton-Warrenville South on Saturday. Dunlap fell just short of Wheaton-Warrenville South by a score of 53-51. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Tigers are ranked 93rd).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Washington duked it out withPlainfield South on Saturday. Washington took a hard 50-35 fall against Plainfield South.

Dunlap's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Washington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
