Basketball Recap: Bessemer Academy Piles Up the Points Against Edgewood Academy

After losing to Edgewood Academy the last time they met, Bessemer Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bessemer Academy Rebels blew past the Edgewood Academy Wildcats, posting a 66-38 victory. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 23 points or more this season.

Joshua Thompson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10 for 21 en route to 28 points. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Rinehart, who posted nine points.

The win made it two in a row for Bessemer Academy and bumps their season record up to 10-1. As for Edgewood Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
