Volleyball Recap: Tintic Miners vs. Milford Tigers
Tintic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of the Milford Tigers by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Miners of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
Tintic started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-19, 15-13.
Several Miners players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyah Farr, who had ten digs and ten assists.
Even though they lost, Tintic kept the net locked down and finished the game with 11 blocks. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milford only had four.
Tintic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Milford, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.
Tintic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Wayne on the 19th. Milford has also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Rowland Hall on the 19th.
