Recap: Groom Tigers vs. Bovina Mustangs
On Thursday, Groom was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to Bovina.
Miguel Lopez was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with five steals for Bovina. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Angel Lara was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Groom's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Bovina, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-10.
Groom will finish 2023 at home by hosting Sanford-Fritch at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bovina and McLean will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at.
