Basketball Recap: Israel Fugett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Oklahoma City S over Hugo

Oklahoma City S was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hugo Buffaloes. The Storm were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Buffaloes earlier this season, when they won 67-56.

Oklahoma City S lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Israel Fugett, who posted nine points along with six rebounds and four blocks. What's more, Fugett also racked up three steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Crayton Harland, who put up 14 points.

Oklahoma City S's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Hugo, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-7.

Oklahoma City S won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Idabel at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Oklahoma City S is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season. Hugo has already played their next game (against Madill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
