Deary proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Nezperce Nighthawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since October 10, 2024.

Deary was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (103-101), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 16-25, 19-25, 26-24, 15-11.

Deary's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. As for Nezperce, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Deary is set to take on their familiar foe Genesee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Nezperce will face off against rival Timberline at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
