Having just played yesterday, the St. Mary's Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Osmond Tigers at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
It was a proper cat-fight when St. Mary's took on Winside on Thursday. St. Mary's took their match with ease, bagging a 61-24 win over Winside. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 24 points or more this season.

St. Mary's got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Annabelle Barlow out in front who went 6 of 7 on her way to 16 points along with seven assists and four steals. Barlow is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Gracie Williamson was another key player, going 7 for 10 en route to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.
Osmond hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Winside on Tuesday, sneaking past 40-37.
Osmond's win came from a few key players St. Mary's will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sophie Gansebom, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleigh Miller, who posted three points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
St. Mary's pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Osmond, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-10 record this season.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: St. Mary's hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 55.3 points per game. It's a different story for Osmond, though, as they've been averaging only 37.7 points. The only thing between St. Mary's and another offensive beatdown is Osmond. Will they be able to keep them contained?
St. Mary's strolled past Osmond in their previous matchup back in December of 2021 by a score of 60-42. Will St. Mary's repeat their success, or does Osmond have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
