Basketball Recap: Brian Laxamana Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Armijo

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dixon, Vacaville Christian was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 52-39 win over the Armijo Royals. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Royals back in December of 2024, they had to take a 69-61 defeat.

Vacaville Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brian Laxamana, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. Dylan Eddings was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Armijo lost, don't look at Isreal Legree. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points. That was a full 41% of Armijo's points, marking the third time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Dantes, who had eight points.

Vacaville Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Armijo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Vacaville Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 73-51 loss against Sonoma Valley on the 30th. As for Armijo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-48 defeat against Pioneer on the 30th.
