Gavin Forrester's Big Game Leads Blue Ridge over Travelers Rest

Starting off the list is Blue Ridge's Gavin Forrester, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Forrester rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 102 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

For the year, Forrester has thrown 6 touchdowns while averaging 109 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 31.33 passing yards per game.

Daniel was led to victory by Grayson Clary, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Clary threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns while completing 92.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 56 yards on only five carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

The win was the third in a row for Daniel, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Clary and Daniel will square off against Berea at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Kb Henderson Turns in Season-Best Effort

Blue Ridge was led to victory by Kb Henderson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Henderson rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.

Travelers Rest's probably not too fond of Henderson given he always seems to get the better of them. Henderson rushed for 188 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.0 yards per carry the last time he and the Devildogs duked it out back in October of 2023.

Another Daniel player making an appearance on this list is Spencer Conn. He picked up 48 receiving yards and a touchdown.
