Basketball Recap: Benton HomeSchool Takes a Loss

Benton HomeSchool and Indianapolis Northwest W squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Benton HomeSchool had to settle for second. They took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indianapolis Northwest W Warriors. If the Bucks were looking for revenge after losing 69-56 to them when the teams met back in February of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indianapolis Northwest W to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryland Dolan, who went 8-for-12 en route to 20 points. The contest was Dolan's third in a row with at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Finn Sempsrott, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 16 points.

Benton HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 24-9. As for Indianapolis Northwest W, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Benton HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Indianapolis Northwest W will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Anderson HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on March 1st.
