Olathe West faced Saint Thomas Aquinas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Owls skirted past the Saints 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Owls, who have now won five matches in a row.

Olathe West can attribute much of their success to Grace Yeager, who had 13 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Yeager has posted since back in September.

Saint Thomas Aquinas' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Grace Nelson, who had 13 digs and five assists, and Malin Chaput, who had 11 digs. Gabi Poeschl also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Olathe West's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas, their loss dropped their record down to 23-4.
