Soccer Recap: Franklin Find Success

Franklin won the last time they faced Sheldon and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Franklin Wildcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sheldon Huskies, sneaking past 2-1. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Huskies are ranked 161st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Franklin pushed their record up to 14-0-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three matches. As for Sheldon, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3-2.

Franklin didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Pleasant Grove on the 24th. Sheldon has also already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against Monterey Trail on the 24th.
