Baseball Recap: Folsom Takes a Loss

Folsom came into this matchup off a tough nine-run loss on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Valley Christian Warriors by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Folsom saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angelo Orozco, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Folsom's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Valley Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4-1 record this season.

Folsom will be playing at home against Del Oro at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Valley Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Archbishop Riordan at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
