Volleyball Recap: St. Paul Flyers vs. Crestview Knights
St. Paul was the 2-1 winner over Crestview when they last played one another back in October of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Flyers fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Flyers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
St. Paul started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-17, 25-19.
Brooklyn Cassidy paced St. Paul's offense, picking up eight kills. Cassidy got some help from Annie Friend and her 18 assists. Bella Guerra controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Crestview, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
