Soccer Game Preview: San Leandro vs. Mt. Eden

The San Leandro Pirates will challenge the Mt. Eden Monarchs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as San Leandro comes in on four and Mt. Eden on three.

On Wednesday, San Leandro got the win against Arroyo by a conclusive 4-1.

Meanwhile, Mt. Eden made easy work of San Lorenzo on Wednesday and carried off a 4-1 victory. Given the Monarchs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 766th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mt. Eden has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-3-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those seven contests. As for San Leandro, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5-3.
