Basketball Game Preview: New Prague Trojans vs. Orono Spartans

New Prague hasn't had much luck against Orono recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The New Prague Trojans will host the Orono Spartans at 7:00 p.m.

New Prague is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Friday. They fell 61-53 to Chaska. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Hawks are ranked 85th).

Meanwhile, Orono made easy work of Jefferson on Thursday and carried off a 78-52 victory. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Orono has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.2 points over those games. As for New Prague, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.
