Basketball Game Preview: Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks vs. Tipton Tigers

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Tipton Tigers on Friday.

Mid-Prairie will head out to face Tipton after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Mid-Prairie fell 62-51 to Regina.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tipton). They breezed by North Cedar to the tune of 76-39 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Tipton pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points per game. As for Mid-Prairie, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 10-2.

Mid-Prairie ended up a good deal behind Tipton when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 68-54. Can Mid-Prairie avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
