Softball Recap: Thurston Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with St. Helens

Thurston faced St. Helens in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Thurston fell 5-1 to St. Helens. The game marked the Colts' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Thurston saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kassy Anderson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another was Kendall Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Thurston fell to 4-1. As for St. Helens, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thurston will venture away from home to square off against West Albany at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Helens, they will challenge Stayton at 4:30 p.m. on April 3.
