Oswego waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Benet Academy Redwings by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20.

Peter Barnes paced Oswego's offense, picking up seven kills. Barnes got some help from Greyson Covay and his 15 assists. Finally, Barnes was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Oswego pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Benet Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 8-3 record.

Coincidentally, Oswego and Benet Academy will both be playing Yorkville the next time they take the court. The Redwings will host the Foxes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
