Softball Recap: Bartlett Yancey Comes Up Short

Bartlett Yancey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Northwood Chargers, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in March.

Bartlett Yancey saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lyndsey Smithers, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Bartlett Yancey's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Northwood, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-10 record.

Coincidentally, Bartlett Yancey and Northwood will both be playing Seaforth the next time they take the field. The Chargers will head out to face the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Buccaneers will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
