Buford had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.9 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Monday. They walked away with a 63-51 victory over the Central Gwinnett Black Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 73-54 back in December of 2024.

Central Gwinnett's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Mcdougald, who went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points and five rebounds. Mcdougald is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Denovian Flowers, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points.

Buford is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.1 points per game. As for Central Gwinnett, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-10.

Buford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-47 win against Mill Creek on the 29th.
