Baseball Game Preview: Galt Warriors vs. Argonaut Mustangs

For the second straight game, Galt will face off against Argonaut. The Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Galt took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Argonaut, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors' pitcher stepped up to hand the Mustangs a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

The result came thanks to Nick Reid's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Galt is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Galt saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jared Russell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Galt's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Argonaut, they dropped their record down to 5-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
