Brawley has gone 8-2 against Southwest EC recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Brawley will face off against Southwest EC at 6:30 p.m. Southwest EC took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Brawley, who comes in off a win.

Brawley took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Grossmont, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Brawley narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Grossmont 7-6. Seven seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Southwest EC came up short against Oceanside on Saturday and fell 7-4.

The win made it two in a row for Brawley and bumps their season record up to 5-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Southwest EC, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything went Brawley's way against Southwest EC in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Brawley made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brawley since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
