Softball Recap: Northampton Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greenfield, Northampton was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Pioneer Valley Regional Panthers. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Devils as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Northampton's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Pioneer Valley Regional, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northampton will venture away from home to square off against Mahar Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils are facing the Senators at the right time seeing as the Senators are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Pioneer Valley Regional, they will square off against Franklin County Tech at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
