It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Momence ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Anne Cardinals, sneaking past 14-13. The high-scoring effort was just what the Momence Athletics needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Momence let Brogan Halpin and Nick Charbonneau run wild. Halpin went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Charbonneau went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Halpin has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shane Cook, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

Momence's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for St. Anne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.

Coming up, Momence will face off against Reed-Custer at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Anne, they will challenge Milford at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
