It was a good run, but Cuthbertson unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 62-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ardrey Kell Knights. The Cavaliers were probably out for revenge after losing 79-46 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ardrey Kell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braden Suggs led the charge by going 6 of 8 on his way to 17 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Suggs a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Bryceton Thomas, who went 5 for 6 en route to 15 points and seven rebounds.

Cuthbertson's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Ardrey Kell, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3.

Cuthbertson will be playing at home against Weddington at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Weddington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.1 points per game this season. As for Ardrey Kell, they will venture away from home to take on Ballantyne Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
