Volleyball Game Preview: Uplift Titans vs. Dunbar Mightymen

The Uplift Titans will head out to challenge the Dunbar Mightymen at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Uplift took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Raby. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Uplift took both sets by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-5.

Meanwhile, Dunbar had just enough and edged out Farragut 2-1 on Wednesday.

Dunbar was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (67-61), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 9-25, 25-17, 27-25.

Uplift's record is now 11-7. As for Dunbar, their record now sits at 7-2.

Uplift was able to grind out a solid victory over Dunbar in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
