Baseball Recap: West St. John Takes a Loss

West St. John was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Independence Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 last Thursday.

West St. John's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Independence, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

West St. John wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 20-0 loss against Riverside Academy on the 2nd. As for Independence, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against St. Thomas Aquinas on the 2nd.
