Basketball Game Preview: Gadsden Panthers vs. Organ Mountain Knights

Gadsden hasn't had much luck against Organ Mountain recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Gadsden Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Organ Mountain Knights at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Gadsden is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 3, 2024 last Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 61-30 loss at the hands of Lovington. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Wildcats are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Organ Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-37 heartbreaker at the hands of Deming.

Gadsden's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Organ Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Gadsden was dealt a bruising 65-26 defeat at the hands of Organ Mountain in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Gadsden was down 41-17.
