The Denver South Ravens will venture away from home to challenge the Rangeview Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Denver South has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Rangeview will arrive with 16 straight wins.
Last Friday, Denver South came up short against Vista PEAK Prep and fell 73-63. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Ravens came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Bison are ranked 116th).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jayden Davis, who went 8 for 12 en route to 18 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Brody Shepherd was another key player, going 5 of 11 on his way to 16 points and five assists.
Northfield typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Rangeview proved too difficult a challenge. They claimed a resounding 88-59 victory over the Nighthawks. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season.
Denver South better keep an eye on Marceles Duncan. He was instrumental in Rangeview's win, going 11 for 13 en route to 24 points along with five assists and three steals. The contest was Duncan's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Archie Weatherspoon V, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 15 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.
Rangeview was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Rangeview's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.8 points per game. As for Denver South, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Denver South and Rangeview are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Denver South hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 69.1 points per game. However, it's not like Rangeview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 75.2 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Denver South ended up a good deal behind Rangeview in their previous meeting back in January, losing 78-61. Can Denver South avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
