Basketball Game Preview: St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders vs. St. Francis Prep Terriers

The St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders and the St. Francis Prep Terriers will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with St. Thomas Aquinas sitting on five straight wins and St. Francis Prep on four.

St. Thomas Aquinas saw some tournament action on Thursday. They strolled past Notre Dame Prep with points to spare, taking the game 63-46. The Raiders pushed the score to 50-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lancers cut but never quite recovered from.

St. Thomas Aquinas' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kellson (KJ) Sandi led the charge by going 7 of 16 on his way to 19 points. Sandi is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Meanwhile, St. Francis Prep humbled Gray Collegiate Academy with a 72-36 victory. Fans of the Terriers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

St. Francis Prep's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
