Basketball Recap: Charles Page Comes Up Short

Charles Page fought the good fight in their overtime game against Ada on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 47-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ada Cougars. The Sandites were up 25-10 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Ada's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Campos led the charge by putting up 19 points and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Campos has scored at least a third of Ada's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliyah Marshall, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Charles Page dropped their record down to 5-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Ada, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charles Page will face off against Broken Arrow at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Broken Arrow is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.1 points per game this season. As for Ada, they will take on Seminole at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
