Volleyball Recap: South Caldwell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If South Caldwell was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Eastern Guilford on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell 3-1 to the Southeast Guilford Falcons on Tuesday.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Southeast Guilford scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 17-25, 25-19.

Riley Powell paced South Caldwell's offense, picking up nine kills. Powell got some help from Lydia Church and her 15 assists.

South Caldwell's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Southeast Guilford, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

South Caldwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southeast Guilford, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Northern Guilford on the 23rd.
