Baseball Recap: Harker Heights Takes a Loss

Harker Heights entered their match against Salado on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Knights fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

Harker Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 13-5-1. As for Salado, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-5-1.

Looking ahead, Harker Heights will head out on the road to challenge Shoemaker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Salado, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Thrall at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
