Soccer Recap: Sanderson's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sanderson proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat the Clayton Comets by a goal, winning 1-0. Sanderson wouldn't have won without Evan Smythe, who scored the game-winner.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Sanderson, bringing their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matchups. As for Clayton, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sanderson will take on Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clayton, they will challenge Felton Grove at 6:30 p.m. on September 5.
