Football Game Preview: Clear Dot Charter Bats vs. Augusta Christian Lions

The Clear Dot Charter Bats will head out on the road to face off against the Augusta Christian Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clear Dot Charter will be strutting in after a victory while Augusta Christian will be coming in after a loss.

Clear Dot Charter's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Military Magnet Academy 36-0. That 36 point margin sets a new team best for the Bats this season.

Clear Dot Charter can attribute much of their success to Lucas Tejada, who rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 106 yards while completing 72.7% of his passes.

Tejada was just one part of a punishing run game: Clear Dot Charter was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 387 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Augusta Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 24-0 to Hammond. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 453rd in Georgia, while the Skyhawks are ranked 59th in South Carolina).

Clear Dot Charter's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Augusta Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
