MaxPreps 2015 Preseason Top 25 High School Football Rankings

No. 1 De La Salle, No. 2 Miami Central lead preseason high school football Top 25.

With the countdown complete, we unveil the 2015 Top 25 preseason football rankings.

The countdown of the MaxPreps/CBSSports Preseason Top 25 Early Contenders presented by Dick's Sporting Goods and Under Armour is now complete, with De La Salle edging Miami Central and Bishop Gorman for the top spot.

The rankings will be updated when the season gets underway in August.

For now, here is MaxPreps' take on the preseason top 25 high school football rankings.

1. De La Salle (Concord, Calif.)
The Spartans have key players back on both sides of the ball and have all the pieces in place for a national title run.

2. Central (Miami)
Florida's three-time defending state champion has a loaded defense to accompany an offense that boasts standout receiver Darnell Salomon.

3. Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas)
Gorman is No. 3 in our preseason high school football rankings, but has a great shot to finish No. 1. Quarterback Tate Martell will lead the team against an ambitious schedule.

4. Archer (Lawrenceville, Ga.)
After coming up short in the AAAAAA title game a year ago, Archer should have the horses to go the distance in 2015.

5. DeSoto (Texas)
It's state title or bust for the 2015 DeSoto squad, which will be among the nation's fastest teams.

6. Centennial (Corona, Calif.)
Anthony Catalano, J.J. Taylor and Javon McKinley give Centennial a very potent trio of weapons.

7. IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.)
The nation's most talented team will seek to come together under the leadership of new coach Kevin Wright.

8. Mallard Creek (Charlotte, N.C.)
The addition of Thad Moss only bolsters an already-stacked roster that will have Mallard Creek in the national title discussion.

9. Flanagan (Pembroke Pines, Fla.)
Flanagan has been criticized for having never won a state title, despite the fact that it just opened its doors in 1996. It is built to go the distance in 2015.

10. Allen (Texas)
Despite the loss of Kyler Murray, one of the most prolific high school quarterbacks to play the game, Texas' top program over the last five seasons will be a strong contender yet again in 2015.

11. Katy (Texas)
A stout defense and an imposing ground game will carry Katy toward another state title game appearance.

12. Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, Va.)
Ocean Lakes is favored to defend its Division 6 state title.

13. Bingham (South Jordan, Utah)
Bingham captured a state title and showed flashes of greatness last season. Expect more of the same this fall.

14. DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.)
The top-ranked team in the Washington, D.C. area will need to prove itself against Florida opponents.

15. St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.)
St. John Bosco will be just fine without Josh Rosen, and could be the class of Southern California yet again.

16. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)
With the return of Nicholas Bosa and Sam Bruce coupled with an impressive influx of talent, St. Thomas Aquinas is a major threat to finish No. 1.

17. Chandler (Ariz.)
Arizona's defending Division I state champion could be even stronger in 2015.

18. Spartanburg (S.C.)
No. 1 running back Tavien Feaster is far from the only weapon for Spartanburg.

19. Mainland (Daytona Beach, Fla.)
Mainland's defense is loaded, and quarterback Denzel Houston is poised for a huge year. They will need to get through Miami Central, however.

20. Manvel (Texas)
Manvel continues to improve, and 2015 has the makings of its best season yet. Defensive back Derrick Tucker highlights a star-studded defense.

21. Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, Ala.)
Alabama's top-ranked team is led by quarterback Ty Pigrome and a pair of Division I receivers.

22. Archbishop Rummel (Metairie, La.)
Rummel looks like Louisiana's top team. It will be tested with a trip to New Jersey to take on Don Bosco Prep.

With its best team in years, Oxford is looking to send head coach Johnny Hill out on top with a state title.

It appears that Bishop Amat has enough firepower to compete with Southern California's best.

It will be without quarterback Tyler Pogue to start the season, but South Panola figures to remain in the state title hunt.
