Volleyball Recap: Britton-Hecla Comes Up Short

Britton-Hecla lost against Groton back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Braves lost 3-0 to the Tigers. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-12.

Groton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jerica Locke out in front who had 14 digs. Locke has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Locke, who had ten digs and two aces.

Britton-Hecla's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Groton, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

Britton-Hecla didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Hamlin on the 16th. As for Groton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Deuel on the 16th.
