Soccer Recap: DSST: Cedar Triumphs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask DSST: Cedar). They walked away with a 5-3 victory over the Wellington Eagles on Thursday. The score was all tied up 3-3 at the break, but DSST: Cedar were the better team in the second half.

DSST: Cedar's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Wellington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

DSST: Cedar and Wellington could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Falcons (ranked 207th) will meet DSST: College View (ranked 101st) at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Wellington will take on Timnath at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (215 vs. 29).
