Volleyball Game Preview: University Cougars vs. Winter Park Wildcats

University hasn't had much luck against Winter Park recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m.

University lost 3-0 to Winter Springs on Wednesday.

University was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Winter Park got the win against East River on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-20.

Winter Park's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for University, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: University hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 8.6 blocks per game. It's a different story for Winter Park, though, as they've been averaging only 1 blocks. Given University's sizable advantage in that area, the Wildcats will need to find a way to close that gap.

University might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Winter Park in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
