Baseball Recap: Hackettstown Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with High Point

Hackettstown faced High Point in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Tigers fell 5-2 to the Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-4 last Monday.

Hackettstown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey Rowinski, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

This is the second loss in a row for Hackettstown and nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for High Point, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Hackettstown will host Morris County Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for High Point, they will venture away from home to challenge Morris Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
