Volleyball Recap: Walden Grove Takes a Loss

Walden Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Nighthawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 8th.

While Walden Grove was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Ironwood Ridge's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-18.

Walden Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Ironwood Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Walden Grove has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Cholla on the 29th. As for Ironwood Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Sahuarita on the 29th.
