Basketball Game Preview: Ocean Springs Greyhounds vs. Harrison Central Red Rebels

Ocean Springs hasn't had much luck against Harrison Central recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Ocean Springs Greyhounds will venture away from home to take on the Harrison Central Red Rebels at 6:00 p.m.

Ocean Springs is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They lost to Gulfport at home by a 57-41 margin.

Meanwhile, Harrison Central beat D'Iberville 43-32 on Tuesday. Given the Red Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Warriors are ranked 131st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ocean Springs' loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Harrison Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Ocean Springs might still be hurting after the 46-25 defeat they got from Harrison Central when the teams last played back in January of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ocean Springs was down 39-5.
