Basketball Game Preview: Potomac Wolverines vs. Oxon Hill Clippers

The Potomac Wolverines will take on the Oxon Hill Clippers in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Potomac came up short against Surrattsville and fell 62-50. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Oxon Hill put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past International High School at Largo, posting a 123-2 win.

Oxon Hill's win came from a few key players Potomac will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nigel Harris, who posted 24 points. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donnell Dorsey, who earned 24 points.

Oxon Hill's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Potomac, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Potomac won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in February, slipping by Oxon Hill 54-53. Will Potomac repeat their success, or does Oxon Hill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
